Mark’s life (and his relationship with God) has taken a lot of detours, but when he agreed to go on a yearlong journey to look for growth and meaning with his wife, everything changed. They found a church that led Mark to a personal relationship with Jesus that has permeated every area of his life, including his more than 100-year-old family business.

Over time, Mark learned from the Experiencing God Bible Study that God is at work everywhere, including as his work. But a barrier to Mark giving his best at work was the stress of overcommitment and time management. Most people take it for granted that both of their kidneys are in the same room, but today is a special day for Jim and Bill because Bill’s visit means that Jim’s kidneys are together. In this unique show, we spend some time unpacking the Living Kidney Donor Program and the 100,000 people that are currently on the waiting list for a kidney.   

Us for Them is an organization that we can get behind because they have a vision for Christ-followers to solve this problem.  No, not every believer needs to donate a kidney, just 100,000 of them. 

Bill inherited polycystic kidney disease. By the time his kidneys were removed, they each weighed a whopping 34 pounds and were roughly the size of a basketball. So many parts of Bill’s body had been affected by the stress and underperformance of those kidneys. Through our friendship of several decades, Jim and Bill had been praying for his future donor – but little did we know that the donor would end up being Jim! God brought us together, and there was no doubt that this was a part of His plan.   In this episode, we have the chance to walk through some of the process together.

Well, Skip believes that as a follower of Christ and as the leader of a company, he has the opportunity to come to work each day as a beacon of peace to those around him. To be sure he is in the right head and heart space, he spends his mornings in prayer, is involved in his local church, and attends a local C12 group that gives him training and support in being a strong Christian Business Leader. And although Skip would love to minister to all 180 of his employees individually, he knows that that isn’t exactly feasible, so he has an on-staff chaplain to help minister to them and their families.

Remember, where there is faith, there is NO FEAR!
