Ep 2082: The Power of Christian Chambering

What happens when you mix business, faith, and a whole lot of divine purpose? You get the U.S. Christian Chamber of Commerce—an unstoppable force for believers in the marketplace!

In this episode of iWork4Him, Jim and Martha Brangenberg—founding members and board members of the U.S. Christian Chamber—sit down with the powerhouse herself, Krystal Parker. Once a corporate oil exec, Krystal now fuels (pun intended) a movement helping Christian business owners connect, grow, and build kingdom-minded enterprises. She shares how God led her from boardrooms to building an entire national chamber network—talk about a divine career pivot!

We dive into Kingdom Commerce, the secret sauce for thriving businesses with biblical values, and why Christian entrepreneurs should stop blending in and start standing out. Plus, if you've ever wondered why doing business with fellow believers matters (or if you’re just tired of getting burned by so-called “Christian” contractors), this episode is a must-listen.

Curious? Inspired? Ready to chamber like a pro? Tune in and find out how to get in on this marketplace movement. For bonus content, reach out via the iWork4Him contact form for a chance to win a copy of Kingdom Commerce!

Ep 2081: Why Women Lead Differently—And Why That’s a Good Thing

Jim and Martha Brangenberg sit down with Catherine Gates to discuss how Christian women experience work differently from men. Many struggle to find faith-based support in professional settings or feel overlooked in church discussions about work. Women often face unique challenges—being unheard in meetings, lacking mentorship, or feeling pressured to lead like men.

Catherine is dedicated to ministering to these women, creating spaces where they can grow in confidence, develop leadership skills, and embrace their God-given talents. Through her work, she has united faith-based organizations to expand mentorship, leadership development, and spiritual growth opportunities for women across industries.

She also highlights the biblical foundation for women in leadership, emphasizing that Jesus actively included women in His ministry. Resources like sheWorks4Him, the book she co-authored, offer real-life stories of women living out their faith at work. For those seeking church-based support, Developing Female Leaders by Kadi Cole and Ministry Chick provide encouragement for women in ministry roles. Catherine’s message is clear: Women don’t have to lead like men—they should lead as God created them, with strength, wisdom, and faith.

Ep 2080: From Ignorance to Awareness: A Path to Unity

The iWork4Him Podcast welcomes Pam Lilly, previous sheWorks4Him Podcast guest and author of The First, The Only, The Few: Why Unity in Christ is Not Always Black and White, to discuss faith, race, and overall, unity. Pam graciously shares her experience as an African American woman in many white spaces, like how her first day of kindergarten coincided with the first day of desegregation in her hometown, shaping her experiences as “the first” or “the only” in many parts of her life.

Jim opens up the discussion admitting how he and many others have been unaware of the experiences of other races and cultures. Pam explains how faith helped her navigate these challenges and why unity in Christ is essential. She urges listeners to step outside their comfort zones, build real relationships, and embrace conversations about race without fear. She ties this to John 17, where Jesus calls for unity so “the world will know” He was sent by God – this unity is part of the Great Commission, making Him known!

This episode is a must-listen for those seeking to move from ignorance to awareness and be part of a church that reflects the diversity of God’s kingdom. Be curious and get to know ALL of God’s beautiful works of creation – not just the ones that look and think like you.

“Justice, Righteousness and Racial Reconciliation For All”
Kathy Branzell & Gary Frost.jpg

Super Man said “Truth Justice and the American way” Jesus demonstrated “Justice, Righteousness and Racial Reconciliation For All”. Who is right?  Jesus of course. Jesus lived for all to see, died for all to be saved, rose from the dead to release all to freedom in Him. The United States is the most free country in the world but we still have issues. We’re talking with Kathy Branzell, President of the National Day of Prayer task force and Gary Frost about Justice, Righteousness and Racial Reconciliation in the workplace, which is our premier mission field.
