Ep 2080: From Ignorance to Awareness: A Path to Unity

The iWork4Him Podcast welcomes Pam Lilly, previous sheWorks4Him Podcast guest and author of The First, The Only, The Few: Why Unity in Christ is Not Always Black and White, to discuss faith, race, and overall, unity. Pam graciously shares her experience as an African American woman in many white spaces, like how her first day of kindergarten coincided with the first day of desegregation in her hometown, shaping her experiences as “the first” or “the only” in many parts of her life.

Jim opens up the discussion admitting how he and many others have been unaware of the experiences of other races and cultures. Pam explains how faith helped her navigate these challenges and why unity in Christ is essential. She urges listeners to step outside their comfort zones, build real relationships, and embrace conversations about race without fear. She ties this to John 17, where Jesus calls for unity so “the world will know” He was sent by God – this unity is part of the Great Commission, making Him known!

This episode is a must-listen for those seeking to move from ignorance to awareness and be part of a church that reflects the diversity of God’s kingdom. Be curious and get to know ALL of God’s beautiful works of creation – not just the ones that look and think like you.

Ep 2079: Your Hiring Game Plan

Offer a warm “welcome back” to iWork4Him Board member Bob Spence, a hiring expert and author of A Game Plan for Hiring the Right People: The Power of a Discovery Process. Bob shares his unique, faith-centered approach to hiring, which focuses on aligning values, involving the entire team, and taking the time to truly discover the right candidate. With decades of experience hiring over 300 key executives and conducting more than 6,000 interviews, Bob offers invaluable insights into his structured “Choosing Winners” system.

Bob explains how hiring is more than filling a position—it’s a chance to help organizations thrive while creating opportunities for ministry. Through his storytelling business fable, Bob makes his hiring method both practical and memorable. He also reveals why a failed offer isn’t a setback but an opportunity to avoid a mismatch and try again for a perfect fit.

This episode is packed with wisdom for anyone looking to refine their hiring process. Whether you're an HR leader, business owner, or team manager, you’ll leave inspired to make every hire intentional, impactful, and aligned with your mission. Ep 2078: Equipped for the Other 167

In this episode of iWork4Him, Jim and Martha Brangenberg sit down with Keith Boyer of iNNOVO Coaching to discuss how the church can empower workplace believers to embrace their calling. Keith shares his personal journey, from a young business owner to a lead pastor at just 26. Despite initial challenges and doubts, Keith’s theology evolved, leading him to see the local church’s role as more than Sunday services—it’s a launch pad for believers to impact their communities during the other 167 hours of their week.

Keith explains the difference between the gospel of salvation and the gospel of the Kingdom, highlighting how God wants to reign in every area of life—workplaces included. He emphasizes the need for churches to equip and empower believers for their unique missions in society. You’ll also hear practical strategies, like restructuring church practices and mentoring believers, to align theology with everyday life.

Here’s Keith’s advice for listeners: pray for your pastor, build genuine relationships with them, and model kingdom-minded living in your workplace. By doing so, you can help spark a cultural shift within the Church, equipping more believers to see their work as worship.

Ep 2077: Faith at Work – Unfiltered!

In this heartfelt and engaging episode, Jim and Martha Brangenberg sit down with Brad Hawkins, founder of SaferNet and a passionate advocate for living your faith boldly in the workplace. Brad shares how he integrates faith into his businesses, from starting meetings with prayer to creating a culture of love and support for employees. He encourages believers to normalize conversations about God—whether at work, over coffee, or even at a dinner party—and inspires listeners to embrace the joy and challenges of expressing your faith openly.

One way to get started living out your faith vibrantly at work is by committing to the iWork4Him Nation pledge, a simple but powerful way to invite God into your daily work life through prayer, service, and love. Brad’s insights show how involving God in even the smallest decisions can lead to deeper connections and purpose.

In addition to running SaferNet, Brad owns two beautiful event venues in Colorado: Church Ranch Event Center in Westminster and Table Mountain Meetings and Events in Golden.
