Let’s Talk Retirement4Him

Better yet, how about we discuss a retirement REVOLUTION! How should we be saving – and spending – our retirement dollars as we go into the sunset.  Is there a right and wrong way? A Biblical way? These are the topics you’ll learn about as Jim and Martha brought on author, Dave Kennon, to break down his book, “The Retirement Revolution,” and blow your mind.

Did you know that 1/3 of retirees die with more money than they had when they retired? How crazy is that! Dave talks with us today about the Retirement Revolution and how you can use your finances and your time to make a kingdom impact in the second season of life! So, stop living scared and recognize that you have already funded your future ministry!

Think Utility, Think Faith

We were honored to chat with Bill Wolf and Roger Ross from brand new show sponsor, Think Utility Services, about their faith stories, how they bring Jesus into their work-space, and the impact they're making every day with their work and faith.

So, let me ask you, how does water conservation save us money, help the planet and most importantly, honor God? One word: accountability! When Think Utility Services started using multiple meters in apartment complexes to measure individual water consumption, people used less water, saved money, and water was allocated to where it was needed. This small change helped tenants to use on average 25%-40% LESS water! Similarly, Roger and Bill pray every morning together and hold one another accountable to living Christ-centered lives in their business. Accountability, awareness, and living a disciplined life are powerful folks!

Tune in to this fantastic show to hear some more about saving money on your utilities and saving your soul!

Workplace Chaplaincy

In the United States there is an enormous amount of money invested in workplace health benefits but there is a gap: we don’t address people’s spiritual wellbeing. Chaplaincy is like a workplace health benefit for the mind and spirit.

Our focus at this past year’s FCCI Conference, was ministries that offer chaplaincy services. Tune in today as we talk with Larry Griffith from Corporate Chaplains along with Marketplace Chaplains CEO, Doug Fagerstrom, about how true ministry in the workplace can change lives and souls and hearts.

Millennials Matter

In today’s show we learned a TON about a great new book, Millennials Matter, by way of the author herself, Danita Bye! Danita gives us her take on why this generation is important and why she is passionate about fostering them in the workplace and the Church.

Danita wanted to do foreign medical missions, but God had other plans. He radically called her to marketplace missions and He hasn’t released her yet. Tune in for an insightful and inspired convo about how Millennials Matter and investing in the up and coming leaders.

“Jesus is the Ultimate Mulligan”

Great words from our phenomenal guest and retired PGA Tour Pro, Wally Armstrong, who joined Jim, along with local CBMC Chair, Mark Graham, for a chat on ministry on the golf course. It was a great hour filled with laughs, testimony, heartfelt conversation and some pretty neat golf tips 🙂

Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) is a fantastic ministry that is located in 360 cities around the world.  Local chapters of CBMC provide leadership institutes, forums, and roundtables for men who are CEOs, GMs, entrepreneurs, and business professionals to help them become the marketplace leaders that God wants them to be.

I know, I know, that all sounds great, but what does that have to do with golf?

Well – it can be hard to invite a coworker or employee to go to church… but what if you invited them to go hear a pro-golfer speak? That’s exactly what CBMC did! Wally Armstrong is not only a retired pro-golfer but also a speaker, author, and incredible evangelist. Tune in to hear more about Wally’s personal story and how he ties the gospel to golf in his new book, The Mulligan.
