More Marketplace Leadership in Dallas

We’re back with our friend, Bill Peel, for another introduction to an area Marketplace Leader who works4Him: the Founder and CEO of Botsford Financial Group and author of The Big Retirement Risk, Erin Botsford, who shares about her personal faith story and how she learned from Bill to plant “Faith Flags” with each encounter, rather than believing she has to complete the faith transaction with every person.

Erin’s story goes from hard-knocks, to sucidiality, to faith, to professional success as a financial advisor. Tune in to this amazing podcast to hear all about it and to be encouraged in your own walk.

An Intro to the Barnabas Group

It was Day 3 of our expansion in Jacksonville (!!!) and today we brought in Becky Turner to talk about the Barnabas Group, which is focused on matching our God-given natural gifts, talents, and abilities – the ones we use all day long – with a local, Christ-centered non-profit in YOUR area of the country.

Becky is the National Managing Partner for the Barnabas Group – a place that matches up the skills, gifts, and talents of individuals and marketplace leaders with ministries and non-profits that need help. In other words, “they set the table and invite people in.” If you are interested in engaging your talents for the Kingdom – you won’t want to miss this one!

Killing Wonder Woman

Ever get that “Wonder Woman” feeling? Like, Wonder Woman can do ANYTHING, right? She’s got a cool shield, those sweet gold bracelets, the gold rope, but can Wonder Woman really stand up to the pressure in real life? Today we talk with author TJ Tison, as she breaks down her incredible new book, “Killing Wonder Woman.”

Women fill many roles both at work and at home, often wearing themselves out to the point of exhaustion by trying to do and be all things to all people all at once. TJ Tison’s new book, “Killing Wonder Woman,” is about setting weary women free to soar in their faith and work.

TJ believes that women can have everything but not all in the same hour, the same week, or even the same season of life. Instead, God’s calling on your life will change as your seasons do. In one era, you may be called to focus on being a wife and mother, and in another, the door may open for you to write a book or start a business. God is unfolding your story, and it will happen in the right time – HIS time. Remember, if you can say no to the good, you can say yes to God’s best.

If you want to be fed and encouraged by women who have similar experiences and have gone through woman-specific minefields in the workplace – check out Working Women of Faith.

TJ Tison is a Contributor to Chapter 13 of The sheWorks4Him Field Manual.
