Today’s show may seem like an odd mix, but when you get down to it, all our featured guests are passionate about serving God and their communities through the principles of contentment and generosity. Join us in Loveland, Colorado, as we talk with Tom Rauh from Thrivent Financial and Kevin Lemasters from a pest company called EnviroPest. Both of whom have hearts for the Lord and do business His way!
Tom Rauh is a financial advisor with Thrivent, a member-owned Christian investment organization. Today he breaks down what investment success REALLY means from a Kingdom perspective! Hint – it’s not just about revenue and profit… it’s about generosity and making a difference in the world. Thrivent works to help the everyday believer gain a healthy relationship with money where they have confidence, contentment, and the ability to live generously.
Speaking of contentment and generosity, Kevin Lemasters talks about shifting EnviroPest’s goals from profit to service. In fact, the pest removal company’s mission statement is “we exist to serve,” and their first core value is “customers and coworkers are an extension of our family and treated as such.” According to Kevin, most of the employees at the company don’t even have a set sales goal – because their goal is simply to go above and beyond to help people. Talk about a biznistry mindset!
But can that model be successful financially? According to Kevin, the answer is a resounding YES. As EnviroPest has focused on simply serving their customers WELL rather than increasing profit margins, God has taken care of their finances in such an incredible way that they can turn around and bless the community even more with the financial overflow.

Do you know what YOUR investments are funding? There’s a new sheriff in investment town, and he’s showing us the hidden dangers in our 401Ks and retirement accounts. If you haven’t heard of Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI), you need to. Today, Luke Andrews talks with us about his mission to transform people’s minds about money, who it really belongs to, and how to steward it well!
So, what exactly is Biblically Responsible Investing? BRI is a movement sweeping the investment world based on the idea that EVERYTHING we do, including our money and investments, should be honoring to the Lord. How? By ensuring that each company you invest in and thus own a part of stands for morals that align with God’s Kingdom.
You may be thinking, “my investments couldn’t be supporting anything THAT bad.” But the truth is that many large companies support, distribute, or actively participate in anti-Christian practices such as pornography, abortion, and gambling. So that little bit of cash coming out of your paycheck each month and into your 401K could be working AGAINST everything you stand for in your day-to-day life.
How are you stewarding your finances? To find out more about BRI, check out Inspire Investing!

Ever think you have your career figured out, and then the voice of God tells you to go in a different direction? Sometimes we try to LOGIC our way towards our calling, to where we want to be, but the truth is that God‘s plan may take us to unexpected places. Tune into this PowerPod to hear the testimony of Kirk Walker Sr., a dedicated listener that reached out to us a while ago to relay a story that we just HAD to get onto the airwaves.
Growing up, Kirk thought his only option for the future would be to work in a factory for the rest of his life. But God’s will for him was a little different. Hear how Kirk went from cleaning floors in a hospital to respiratory therapy school to becoming a hospice nurse who walks people home to heaven. In Kirk’s words, “the most important service you can give is your time and love.” After all… God IS love.

Ever feel like you’re stretched too thin? If so, you’re not alone. Many women in the workplace use this exact phrase to describe themselves. Today, we hear from working mom and author Jessica Turner about how to deal with the myriad of pressures and stressors that bombard working women (and really all of us) on a daily basis. And men, don’t run away from this episode; there’s plenty of wisdom to help you understand your wife, mother, daughter, and even yourself better!
In Jessica’s second book, Stretched too Thin, she addresses the issues that commonly affect today’s women in the workplace: issues like feelings of guilt and overwhelm, work boundaries, parenting with intention, marriage, and self-care. Because the reality is that working women have to juggle a lot! But according to Jessica, some of the balls they’re juggling are glass, and some are rubber; in other words, if you drop certain responsibilities, they will bounce and be fine. But if you drop others, you run the risk of shattering them. So in this PowerPod, she will give you a few tips on prioritizing your responsibilities so that you and your family can thrive!

Today we hear from the Executive Director of LifeWork First about her passion for bringing God into the workplace. And then, we’ll hear the “cool” story of two guys that were brought together while going through the LifeWork Leadership program, all for the Glory of God!
For her dissertation, Dr. Tammie McClafferty wrote about balancing her priorities as a Christian working mom. For years she struggled with guilt for choosing to continue to work rather than to stay home with her kids. A guilt that had been instilled and perpetuated by the Church. But the truth is, Scripture is full of examples of women called to the marketplace that were able to use their work as a tool to increase God’s Kingdom! LifeWork Leadership helps Christ-followers make their work, their mission field.
Two participants in LifeWork Leadership, are a perfect example of this. Nathan and Edmund ended up seated together at the same table during the conference. After experiencing an instant connection, they met up for lunch. Well, lunch led to collaboration on several real estate deals and eventually Nathan and Edmund purchased an air conditioning business called EAC Jax that strives to bring the LifeWork principles into the marketplace! Talk about cool!

Are you nervous to talk about God at work? Do you feel unsure of how to share the gospel? Well, this show is for you! Today, Mollie Yoder with the Pocket Testament League (PTL) joins us to talk about the power of simply sharing the Word of God with others.
The PTL is an incredible organization that believes sharing the gospel doesn’t have to be complicated. Instead, PTL encourages people to simply hand out the Gospel of John to those around them, then trust that when that coworker or friend or relative reads the Word of God for themselves, they will be forever changed! After all, Hebrews 4:12 says, “the word of God is LIVING and ACTIVE,” and when someone reads the gospel, they are hearing the voice of God.
Countless people have experienced the power of handing out the Gospel of John through PTL. In this show, we have the privilege of hearing just a few of the stories of hope coming out of the lives of Leaguers.
