iWork4Him Nation - Disciple

We continue our series on the iWork4Him Nation covenant and living out a Prayer/Care/Share/Work/Disciple lifestyle in our workplaces each and every day.

This week:  Disciple

DISCIPLE

1.  Share my life with others and teach a Biblical worldview and promote whole-life discipleship

Matthew 28:18-20 (NLT)

18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,[a] baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

When we hear the word disciple, most of us get freaked out.  Most of us believe it is a job for Pastors to do.  WRONG.  Jesus called all of us to make disciples.  In order to make disciples, we just have to do what Jesus did.  Study the scriptures, feed them into people, demonstrate God’s work in our lives, and encourage them to do the same with someone else.  Discipleship is natural when you are obediently following Jesus.  Oh, I forgot one thing, Jesus did it selflessly. He set aside his agenda in favor of his heavenly father’s agenda. Want to be a good discipler? Be prepared to go all in for Jesus, setting aside your agenda and submit to God’s and then pour your life into another.
