iWork4Him Nation - Prayer

PRAYER

Pray for my co-workers and employees by name each day

1 Timothy 2:1-5 (NLT) -

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. 5 For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.

Look for opportunities to pray with people – look for a change in countenance – offer to stop and pray.

Matthew 18:20 (NLT) -

20 For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”

Do you pay attention to the people you work with?  I mean really pay attention?  Enough to realize when they have something rough going on in their lives?  That’s the time  we get an opportunity to show that we care.  Ask you friend/co-worker/employee/boss “what’s wrong?”  Then Listen for their response.  When you know something is up, don’t take “I’m Fine” as an answer. After they share with you what is bothering them, ask them politely “Can I pray with you about that?”.  I never have had anyone refuse.  Not an atheist, Jew, Muslim, or Christ-follower.

Everyone appreciates prayer.

Prayer changes people. I am a changed man because of prayer and Jesus. Don’t underestimate the power of praying in the workplace.
