Celebrating the REAL St. Patrick’s Day

Today we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.  As I researched St. Patrick, the stories didn’t revolve around green beer or snakes, leprechauns or 4 leaf clovers.

I found a story about a life of adversity that transformed into a Christ Following missionary to Ireland.  Take some time to read the true story of this 5th century saint.

This reliable source on St. Patrick can be read at the dinner table before you eat your traditional St. Patrick’s Day meal.

Are there areas of your life that you haven’t searched for the truth?

  • Truth about the founding of our great country

  • Truth behind our faith

  • Truth about Jesus and his time on earth

How can we be effective examples of Jesus if we don’t really know the truth of his life?  The Bible is full of Truth about Christ and His life.

The 4 Gospels are a great place to begin.

The authors of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were either eye witnesses or interviewed eye witnesses. Jesus really is God. He came, he lived, he died and he rose from the dead.  There is more proof of Christ’s life, death and resurrection than any truths written about Alexander the Great?  Yet, many still don’t believe because they haven’t look into the truth themselves.

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

Now, enjoy some corned beef and hash and celebrate the life of St. Patrick, a truly remarkable man of God.
