The iWork4Him Nation Covenant - Point 1
For the next several weeks of blogs I want to focus on why you should consider joining the iWork4Him Nation. Point Number 1 of the iWork4Him Nation Covenant is:
As a Member of the iWork4Him Nation I commit myself to:
Pray for my co-corkers and employees by name each day – 1 Tim 2:1-5
1 Timothy 2:1-5 (NLT) 2 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. 5 For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.
Why is this the number one part of the covenant? Prayer is Powerful. Prayer is transformational. Prayer changes things. Jesus prayed so we should pray – A LOT! When you start to pray for your co-workers and employees you will experience a change in your heart. I know I am asking you to pray for others, but when you do this, you will notice that your heart and mind will be transformed. You will start to see others the way our Heavenly Father sees them. You will be more in tune with what is going on in their lives. The Holy Spirit of God will move in your heart in a miraculous way.
Just this weekend, I had the chance to speak about what it means to live out “iWork4Him” in the workplace to a group of 5 high school graduates. This speaking engagement was made possible because one of our iWork4Him radio listeners took the challenge and joined the iWork4Him Nation. She saw it change her heart, open opportunities for ministry and then realized her church needed to hear the challenge too.
Prayer works in the workplace because of the power of God. Make the commitment to start praying for your co-workers and employees today and see your heart and workplace transform - starting tomorrow.
