Two Things I Want To Learn From Christmas: Part 2
Only 3 more days until Christmas. Do you feel peaceful? I doubt it. I know I don’t. Most of us have been running around crazily since Thanksgiving. Why? I don’t know but it’s something we do.
I want to learn PEACE this Christmas.
More than Peace On Earth, I desire more peace of my spirit. I am good at cramming into a week, more than most people do in a month. I am busy and stretched and tired. Why? Because I am not at peace. I tend to fill every hour of my day with people and stuff and activities so that I can feel fulfilled.
Jesus wasn’t like me. He was busy but never in a hurry. He lived out a peaceful life. We know that on Jesus’ birth-day Mary and Joseph were reminded to be at peace. At Jesus’ death – he had peace of mind to assign the care of his mother to John. He was at peace because he was accomplishing the will of the Father.
I want to be more like Jesus in 2018.
I want to live as a man of peace: displaying peace and spreading peace.
I want to do the will of the Father and I want to live in PEACE.
Could you use some peace in your life? Join me this next year to live at peace – let’s reject the hurried and the nonsense.
Jesus is my PEACE. Merry Christmas
Luke 2:14
“Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”
