Wrestling with Obedience to Jesus' Commands in My Workplace
Who do you say that I am?
Jesus asked this of Peter but He also asks it of us. Our obedience is reflected in who we think Jesus is. Does your life reflect a pattern of obedience to Jesus’ commands or does your life reflect the culture in which you live?
These questions have caused me to think…deeply.
How much of my life reflects a life of obedience versus a life of my culture.
I have been a Christ follower for 37 years, a best friend and husband for over 30 years, a father for over 25 years and a businessman for over 25 years. Which of these roles or titles reflects the obedience to Jesus’ commands? All of them all of the time, all of them some of the time, or some of them some of the time?
Jesus was pretty clear in John 14:23 Jesus replied:
All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them
As you walk into your workplace today. Are you impacting the culture of your work-space with God’s love or is the culture impacting you?. Does your obedience to Jesus’ commands in your workplace reflect your love for your heavenly Father?
I am going to wrestle with this for a while. I hope you do too.
